community by encouraging an appreciation of the arts, working towards preserving the local heritage and fostering
community pride. Envision Escalante encourages community involvement and volunteerism to unite and
partner to address local concerns and needs.

Envision Escalante Voting Directors Steve Roberts, Founder - Steve is the founder of Envision Escalante and it's flagship event, the Escalante Canyons Art Festival. Steve is the co-owner of Escalante Outfitters located in Escalante, Utah, Timberland Furniture, located in Kansas City, Kansas and serves on the Board of the Grand Staircase-Escalante Partners non profit organization and Kelsey's Kids Foundation. Susan Nelson, Chairwoman - Susan and her husband Scott own The Escalante Rock Shop. Susan is also webmaster for Envision Escalante. Dana Waggoner, Secretary - A retired educator and co-owner of Escalante Outfitters, Dana brings energy and enthusiasm to all endeavors. Elaine Lott , Director - Born and raised in Escalante. Elaine taught school for 15 years as well as running Lott's Legacy Boarding School. She is currently a part owner in the Cowboy Country Inn. Tom Mansell - Director Camille Shakespeare - Director CONSULTANTS: Dr. Steve Daniels Steve Goldsmith Honorary Directors: Arnold Alvey - Arnold is a fourth generation rancher and a direct descendant of the pioneering families who settled the Escalante area. Arnold is an expert on restoration and preservation of historic barns in the West and regularly conducts lectures on this subject. Deon Alvey - A life long resident of Escalante, Deons numerous contacts and associations are instrumental to the success of the organization. Garth Noyes - Garth is a retired attorney and currently co-owns a small business in Escalante. He serves on the Escalante Planning and Zoning Board. Harriet Priska - Owner of the Serinadad Gallery Adam Hutchins , Director - Adam is a field geologist specializing in birds of prey. He is currently working for the Dixie National Forest. Nicole Croft, Director - Along with her husband and two children recently moved into the community. Nicole's organizational skills and fresh approach are greatly appreciated. Escalante Art Festival: Karin Smith-Simmons, Escalante Canyons Art Festival Director - Karin is a retired deputy sheriff and the best volunteer in Escalante. Volunteers Recognized: Five County Association of Governments RSVP recognized six Envision Escalante volunteers for their service to the community. Arnold and Deon Alvey, Karen Rangitch and Susan Nelson were awarded the bronze President's Volunteer Service Award.
